A retired Lt. Col. United States Army Judge Advocate, Michael J. Laird is a personal injury and medical malpractice attorney with more than 30 years of trial experience. Mr. Laird has tried and won (via a successful verdict or favorable settlement) numerous cases in Cook and DuPage Counties. A seasoned trial lawyer, Mike has tried over twenty-five jury trials for his personal injury clients. As a Judge Advocate in the US Army, Mr. Laird served as a both a prosecutor of and a defense attorney for members of the armed forces accused of criminal wrong-doing.
As an Of Counsel with McArdle Frost, Mr. Laird works to protect the rights of the firm’s clients.
Prior to opening his personal injury practice, Mike clerked in the United States Attorney’s Office in South Bend, Indiana, serving as an Assistant States Attorney for five years. He subsequently moved to Illinois to become an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois. Over the course of his career in working for the federal and state governments, he tried hundreds of misdemeanors and felony cases in civil law.
Committed to the law enforcement community, Mr. Laird a certified state instructor at the police academy specializing in civil liability and procedure.
